Between meetings of the House of Delegates,
the Board of Trustees carries out the policies of the House
of Delegates and sets other policies as necessary.
The board has authority over all consolidated
organizations of the association. The voting members of the
board include the president, president-elect, immediate past
president, secretary, treasurer, elected members from the
nine medical districts in the state, and the speaker of the
House of Delegates. The vice speaker of the House of Delegates,
AMA delegates and alternate delegates are nonvoting members
of the board.
The board refers business items to over 30
committees that report to the board.
