SCMA Goals
The SCMA will:
1. Foster high quality, ethical medical practice
through medical education and ethical standards.
2. Advocate for patient access to high quality,
affordable health care through state government and private payors.
3. Help physicians to succeed in the rapidly changing
medical practice environment through strategies to enhance the competitive position
of physicians, programs to enhance the public image of physicians, and practice
management education, consulting services, and other socioeconomic opportunities.
4. Foster unity among physician organizations
through collaboration with county medical societies and specialty societies and
participation in the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates.
5. Maintain a fiscally sound organization through
strategies that build membership and loyalty;
enhance financial growth, including a liberal investment
policy; promote organizational structures and processes
that are flexible and responsive to members; and
enhance sound management practices.
