Dr. Gregory Tarasidis was Installed as the 149th President of the SCMA

This past weekend, Dr. Gregory Tarasidis, an ENT practicing in Greenwood, was inaugurated as the 149th President of the South Carolina Medical Association. MEDPAC Hosted a Successful Gubernatorial Debate

Republican candidates Lt. Governor Andre Bauer and Attorney General Henry McMaster were present Sunday to weigh in on the issues that affect the practice of medicine in South Carolina. Each candidate answered several questions on health care topics including; Medicare reimbursement, the proposed cigarette tax increase, health care reform, and scope of practice expansion.

As always, the focus of Annual Meeting continues to be conducting business on the behalf of medicine.
