SCMA Alliance
The SCMA Alliance is a group consisting of SCMA member's spouses. The Alliance works closely with the SCMA to help promote the practice of medicine through legislation, community affairs and health education. Learn more.


Young Physicians
The Young Physicians section consists of doctors who are under the age of 40; or who are in their first 8 years of practicing medicine. This organization focuses on accommodating the concerns of Young Physicians. Learn more.
 

SCMA Foundation
The SCMA Foundation is a not-for-profit affiliate of the South Carolina Medical Association. The Foundation continually strives to encourage social and professional activities in the various fields of medicine. To encourage these activities, the Foundation provides financial support and fundraising. Learn more.


Medical Student Section
The Medical Student Section is comprised of medical students from both the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and the Medical University of South Carolina. The goal of the Medical Student Section is to provide for activities sponsored by both the SCMA and the American Medical Association (AMA). Learn more.


Resident Section
The resident section is a group formed by residents within the state of South Carolina that are members of the SCMA. This organization strives to provide a forum within organized medicine for the exchange of information among residents and fellows in South Carolina, and to represent the best interest of residents and fellows within the SCMA. Specialty Societies
The SCMA is affiliated with several specialty societies. The SCMA is responsible in helping these societies with their day-to-day functions, such as marketing, promotion, events, accounting, and other general business activities to promote the practice of medicine. Learn more.

There are several county medical societies located throughout South Carolina.
